2.6.21 A brilliant download with Mercury conjunct Pallas in Aquarius

Soul Bloom Art

Pallas is the goddess of divine intelligence and wisdom – she represents the root of all wisdom, and helps us to gain a higher understanding of our world, rising above our own concepts and beliefs to see a bigger picture. The asteroid Pallas is in Aquarius where she is quite comfortable, since under the influence of Aquarius the layers of multidimensional consciousness begin to open. Pallas was a name for Athena in her guise as the wise leader, and the asteroid Pallas symbolizes an innate wisdom […]

11.12.20 Pallas and the conjunction of Jupiter to Pluto

art by Ellen Vaman

The final phase of the Jupiter conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn hits today, and the evidence is everywhere.  Ideological (Jupiter) conflict (Pluto), the destruction and rebuilding (Pluto in Capricorn) of everything that we believe to be true (Jupiter).  The Archetypal Explorer put this chart together tracking the Covid peaks to the conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto, and you can clearly see the correlation. In our personal lives Jupiter and Pluto behave rather differently – under this influence the things […]

The Mercury/Pallas conjunction of 2019

Mercury and Pallas are very different planetary bodies, and they differ in their astrological significance as well.  Mercury is a planet after all, and Pallas an asteroid.  Mercury’s orbit is quite short, just 88 days, where the orbit of Pallas is 1686 days.  In the astrological pantheon, planets are given primary importance with asteroids relegated to a minor role – they add details and color to the basic energies that the planets describe.

But Mercury and Pallas share an affinity for the mental realm – they both are concerned with learning and […]

Create your new beginning with the Gemini New Moon, June 3 2019

New Moon Deviant Art

The Moon is new on June 3rd in the sign of Gemini.  Gemini is the sign of the twins and finds pleasure in the embrace of dual views that may seem incompatible but which actually enhance our nature and help us to grow and evolve.  The more we understand about who we are, the more effective we can be in our lives and Gemini accomplishes this through attracting experiences through which we change and take on new characteristics and qualities.  Under the sign of […]

The November 14th Supermoon in Taurus – Building a solid foundation

Taurus Supermoon November 14The concept of the Supermoon, originally coined by astrologer Richard Nolle, has reached the mainstream as NASA calls this the biggest Supermoon since 1948.  A Full Moon or New Moon is called a Supermoon when it is at its closest to the Earth .  We don’t see the New Moon, of course, but the Full Moon appears larger and its astrological influence is stronger during a Supermoon than at other times, with higher tides and often extreme weather incidents.

Richard himself thinks that this is […]

Astrology in my world: Saying goodbye to Amber

This week I had to send my beloved dog Amber into the light so it’s been difficult for me to write.  She was diagnosed with cancer about two weeks ago and we had been giving doggie hospice care until Tuesday when we said goodbye.

I usually look for Pluto or Jupiter where death is involved, and often in an emotionally intense time such as this has been I would expect to find Pluto and in fact my progressed Moon is within range of a challenging square to Pluto in my natal chart.  But even […]

Solar Eclipse at the New Moon October 23 2014

Athena by the late Susan Seddon Boulet Athena by the late Susan Seddon Boulet

Although the New Moon tomorrow is an eclipse at the first degree of Scorpio, there is still an intensely Libran influence during this last day leading into the eclipse.  Four planets (including the luminaries, the Sun and the Moon)  are in Libra, and the Sun is aligned with Venus, Libra’s ruler.  Libra and Venus possess a strong but delicate energy – inspiring relationship and harmony, yet requiring a peace and beauty.

This sensitivity will have to give way to […]

Pallas and John Travolta news

Photo from DailyTelegraph.com.au Photo from DailyTelegraph.com/au

Homosexuality is not what it used to be.  Half a century ago, gay men and women hid their affiliation in a closely guarded cloak of secrecy.  In today’s Aquarian world where even in the US twenty states plus the District of Columbia now permit gay marriage, more and more well-known people are coming out of the closet, including even football players. But not John Travolta or Tom Cruise.  Both of these men, both Scientologists, interestingly enough, have struggled through their entire careers to […]
