February 15th eclipse at the Aquarius New Moon- Write your own story

partial solar eclipse February 15 Photo by Matt Hecht

Although the eclipse on February 15th is a partial one, it still packs a strong astrological punch. There is a powerful compression of energies in the chart of the New Moon with six planets falling within a 30 degree arc, plus the North Node of fate, plus Juno, the asteroid of marriage and spiritual union.  You can see what a driver this New Moon will be to push us out of a deep sleep or unconsciousness into an awakened state.  A strong Jupiter […]

New Moon in Gemini, June 12 2010

New Moon Gemini June 12For the next few weeks with Mercury in its own sign of Gemini the mental realm is activated, helping ideas to flow smoothly and aiding our ability to adapt to new circumstances. This process is facilitated by the Gemini New Moon on June 12th. The New Moon phase offers an opportunity for a new beginning, and in Gemini this opportunity takes us into the mental realm where we experiment with new ideas and ways of living our life before actually manifesting these ideas into form.
Gemini […]

The Messier Marathon: How many galaxies can you see?

Messier MarathonWhen the New Moon occurs near the spring equinox and the sky is dark, there is an opportunity to view up to 110 deep sky objects as catalogued by Charles Messier. These include galaxies and nebulae and star clusters that are normally not visible with amateur astronomical equipment.

For you astronomy buffs out there, Universe Today has provided a tour guide to view all 110 objects at a leisurely pace over an eleven-day period, ten at a time.  They started yesterday though, so you may have to do a bit of […]

Void Moon Research Project

The first full day of the Void Moon Research Project was last Thursday April 17, when the Moon was void between 1:59 am EDT and 6:10 pm EDT. The Moon was finishing up in Scorpio where it aspects a T-square in my chart involving my Moon, so I thought that if I was susceptible to the Void Moon that would be a good time to test it. That day all of my plans went smoothly, although Friday was a different story. By Friday the Moon was firmly in Libra where it set off another big square […]

Cell Salts through the Signs

Thanks to Robert Wilkinson for posting this interesting article making recommendation of certain cell salts for various astrological signs. Robert writes:

The 12 cell salts are considered to be necessary to our health, and I have found over the years that the salts corresponding to the Ascendant and sign on the 6th house are very important in our biochemical workings.

The Ascendant, of course, represents the physical vehicle and therefore the primary chemical makeup of a person. The sign on the 6th house also shows important factors concerning the physical health, since the 6th […]

The Funny Thing About Uranus and the Markets

(Please refrain from scatological jokes here!) On Monday the stock market rose over 400 points, the biggest single day rise since 2002, confirming the predictions of noted astrological money expert Ray Merriman who, noting the falling markets at the New Moon which was conjunct Uranus on Friday, predicted for this week:

For this week, Venus will enter Pisces March 12, followed by Mercury doing the same March 14. More Pisces. More confusion and uncertainty. This is followed by Venus starting its translation to the Saturn-Uranus opposition, starting with its opposition to Saturn on March […]

New Moon tomorrow! and a look ahead

We are still in the middle of the Aquarius stellium, with Chiron conjunct Mercury which is exacerbating the tendency of Mars in Cancer for hurt feelings. Fortunately, a conjunction of sweet Venus and romantic Neptune will soften the edges of any conflicts that come up, providing creative ways to move through difficulties and release old patterns as Neptune’s urge to dissolve and transcend does its magic.

The New Moon on March 7 is at 17 degrees Pisces, the sign of spiritual experience and creativity. With the Sun conjunct the Moon, there is […]

New Moon Tomorrow

“The moon for all her light and grace has never learned to know her place….”
from Robert Frost’s poem, Two Leading Lights
art by Deanna Hartman

The New Moon occurs on January 29 at 9:15 am EST. The Sun and Moon will be conjunct in Aquarius, as part of a powerful collection of five planets in Aquarius within 13 degrees that also includes Chiron (the wounded healer), Mercury (communication issues) and Neptune (mystery and transcendence). Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is known as […]
