A portion of this article was originally published in 2013.  I dug it out of the archives because we are living through a plethora of catastrophes: a pandemic, the overthrow of many governments around the world, volcanoes, cyclones, fires… but there is inspiration to be found in all of these events which transform the world we know in ways which we would not expect.

Today’s inspiration comes from Palden Jenkins.  Palden is an astrologer and great thinker whom I admire.  I first discovered him through his wonderful Historical Ephemeris with tables of planetary phenomena and analyses of major planetary cycles.

Palden has stage four cancer and has moved back to his home in Cornwall.  His experience of the Coronavirus landscape has this added quality gained from looking into the jaws of death.  Here are some recent writings from his Facebook page.
