The Cancer New Moon on the 12th is a Supermoon and a partial solar eclipse. The term Supermoon (™ astrologer Richard Nolle) simply means that the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth. The past few days have been a particularly powerful time, with the Summer Solstice (with the Sun entering the tropical sign of Cancer) on Sunday and the New Moon yesterday occurring only a day apart.
