With all of this Aquarian energy floating about, and Mars in Taurus conjunct Uranus squaring all the Aquarius planets, my nerves feel a bit fragile. Perhaps yours do too? If so you might enjoy this beautiful poem by the great Wendell Berry.
I go among trees and sit still.
All my stirring becomes quiet
around me like circles on water.
My tasks lie in their places
where I left them, asleep like cattle.
Then what is afraid of me comes
and lives a while in my sight.
What it fears in me leaves me,
and the fear of me leaves it.
It sings, and I hear its song.
Then what I am afraid of comes.
I live for a while in its sight.
What I fear in it leaves it,
and the fear of it leaves me.
It sings, and I hear its song.
After days of labor,
mute in my consternations,
I hear my song at last,
and I sing it. As we sing,
the day turns, the trees move.
~ Wendell Berry from Sabbaths
Ah, thanks! I so appreciate this wonderful poem and your posting it for today.
Exactly what I need to hear–I checked the current chart for my locale and the Sun is squaring Mars, Mercury has stationed retrograde, the Moon opposing Ceres/Neptune, the midpoint of Sun/Mars rising in Pisces when I looked at this! :-P
Yes, I do feel rather frazzled–really helpful to get some grounding insight and perspective. What a remarkable time we are in, how we struggle to hold to a positive perspective and find our way through.
Blessings for this guide to a larger perspective, as I meditate on it, it’s quite perfect healing medicine.
