Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote this, but this my wish today for you, and me, and all of us. ❤️
This is my wish for you:
Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes,
rainbows to follow the clouds,
laughter to kiss your lips,
sunsets to warm your heart,
hugs when spirits sag,
beauty for your eyes to see,
friendships to brighten your being,
faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
Love to complete your life.
Perfect! Thanks, Lynn.
I’m so glad you liked the poem, Catherine. ❤️
So helpful – Thank you.
Glad to hear it, Jane! ❤️
Visited his home now a museum in Concord, MA and learned that he invited neighbors and friends daily to his home just to keep company and discuss transcendental themes. His home looks exactly as it always was.
That must have been so interesting, Liliana. I was near there a couple of years ago, wish I had gone to see this. ❤️
Fortunately for me, we were required to study Emerson’s work when I was working to get a College degree at the age of 42. His words opened my mind and were transformative in so many aspects of my life. Now, 35 years later, I so appreciate you sharing this! I’d never read this but these sweet and loving words are just what we all need at this day and time.
