email Lynn. Lynn graduated from Indiana University in 1973 with a B.A. in psychology and sociology. After moving to North Carolina in 1979 she worked as a real estate paralegal and office assistant to a real estate and building company before becoming licensed as a salesman in 1982. She obtained her broker’s license in 1990, her GRI (Graduate of the Realtors Institute) designation in 1991, and the prestigious CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation in 1994. Only 3% of all agents nationwide can use the CRS designation which requires proven production and sales history, and only 9% of all agents have earned the GRI designation.
In 2005 Lynn put this knowledge to work by opening Lynn Hayes Properties which began as a small boutique brokerage with two agents and one assistant. Since then she has assembled a team of high integrity, intelligent and caring agents, each of whom put the principles into practice which she has espoused for over 30 years in the real estate business.
Lynn has an exceptionally service-oriented approach in working with her clients but also likes to make the process of buying and selling a home fun and enjoyable. She has an excellent ability to determine the needs and objectives of the client, and then works diligently to meet those needs, providing unmatched service.
Lynn’s clients often remark that she is more than a Realtor: she is a true friend, looking out for their best interests. Her excellent relationships with her fellow brokers and exceptional technological and organizational skills help to facilitate a painless transaction.
Lynn has an extensive knowledge of the real estate market in the entire Triangle area including Chapel Hill, Durham, Northern Chatham County, Orange County and the Hillsborough area, Saxapahaw, and portions of Wake County. She understands the unique needs that all types of clients have, from relocating famliies, to single parents, to retirees, and works hard to ensure that their needs are met and their goals achieved. She has represented several builders and new construction communities and has helped dozens of clients build their dream homes.
As owner of Lynn Hayes Properties she keeps up with the latest trends in the real estate business, a business which is always changing.
Lynn lives with her husband Rich in northern Chatham County (just south of Chapel Hill/Carrboro) with their furry children. When not selling real estate, she and Rich enjoy traveling, concerts, hiking, camping, and cooking. Lynn enjoys playing music, especially from the Celtic lands, and is a perpetual student of guitar, piano, hammered dulcimer and percussion. As if that wasn’t enough, she recently took up the pennywhistle and is exploring the Irish bouzouki. She served on the Leadership Committee of the Greater Chapel Hill Area Association of Realtors and is active in several community organizations.
